Here’s another reason medical and mental health professionals need to know what autism looks like in adults. For years, my providers listened to my very vivid descriptions of autistic experiences and told me that they were repressed sexual memories.— The Aspergian #ShineOnMax (@theAspergianCom) December 4, 2019

Someone please tell me why I’m in the twilight zone of Medicine where I have to pander to my doctors possible delicate nature? I have to share science but not too much cause they might think its illness obsession? 🙄— Vivid Phoenix (@VividPhoenix1) December 3, 2019

Our patients ALWAYS have WAY more data abt their bodies, their symptoms, & their needs than we do. The *only* way to get this critically important data is to listen & start from a place of belief. Lack of trust means no or bad data.#PatientsAreNotFaking
